A Bit About Colin

In the twenty plus years of his career, having worked for a Bay Street hedge fund and two large bank owned brokerages, Colin has helped steer his clients through some of our most historic market events.  Navigating the tech-bubble expansion and collapse, the Great Recession and the preceding Great Expansion;  when it comes to portfolio management, there is no substitute for experience.  

Colin obtained an Honours Bachelor of Science degree with an area of emphasis in economics from the University of Guelph, the Chartered Investment Manager designation and Financial Management Advisor designation, giving him a sound understanding of financial planning, economics and investment management. 

Building client relationships is the cornerstone of Colin's practice.   He believes that ensuring his clients feel comfortable and well looked after is the most important aspect of the service he provides.  Whether it is explaining complex concepts in an easy to understand manner or merely being readily accessible, providing exceptional client service is always top of mind. 

Outside the office, Colin has a passion for many sports but most of all hockey.  He has spent years coaching minor league teams and enjoys playing it himself.  Colin is also an avid fisherman and has written articles for online fishing magazines.  However, his true passion is spending time with his family in cottage country, which is something he shares with his wife, two sons and cattle dog.
